Dear Mighty Media Hiring team,
I’m ecstatic to be vying for your open Video Producer slot! I live for the filmmaking process and find joy in each of the steps of production. I see my casual attitude and flexibility as a worker as a huge strength as it allows me to work in any environment with anyone. As a worker and person I pride myself in always acting with common courtesy, common sense, and mutual respect. I’ve lived my life as the type of person people can count on, and I promise that you can count on me.
My education taught me a wide variety of skills. I taught the use of cameras and editing software to students, professors, and staff alike. I have attended multiple script writing workshops and written many scripts for my personal creative projects. Years as a low budget filmmaker and video editor has taught me how to be extremely flexible and adapt quickly in a working environment. In 2019 I edited two feature films and worked as Assistant Director on the second. I was able to edit down an assembly cut with a runtime of 3:25 down to a clean 1:38, losing story arcs and characters while improving the pacing and making a cohesive storyline out of a convoluted mess.
I have worked on a variety of projects for clients from bands to businesses to charitable causes. I’ve worked for dental laboratories, multiple musicians, couples getting married, heck once I even filmed and edited a live vasectomy for the nonprofit World Vasectomy day. I am an extremely efficient and creative video producer, can adeptly develop concepts, create timelines and schedules, act as a camera operator as needed, and edit products from end to end.
I’m passionate about storytelling, filmmaking, and content creation. I hope to work with you in the future and take every opportunity to prove my worth and create beautiful and creative work.
Sincerely,
